Contouring doesn’t have to be complicated. This beginner tutorial shows you where to place products for a naturally sculpted look.

Step 1: Choose Your Products

For beginners, cream contour is easier to blend. Pick a shade 2 tones darker than your skin.

Step 2: Placement

Apply contour to: hollow of cheeks (suck in and follow the line), temples, sides of nose, jawline.

Step 3: Highlight

Apply highlight to: top of cheekbones, bridge of nose, cupid’s bow, center of forehead, chin.

Step 4: Blend

Using a damp sponge, blend the contour upward into the skin. For highlight, tap gently to diffuse.

Step 5: Set

Lightly set with translucent powder. You can add powder bronzer on top for extra definition.
